Welcome all Not So Evil StepMoms!

Have you ever heard that pause on the phone when another parent calls and you explain that you are not her Mother.  You are her Stepmother.  Can you hear the pregnant pause that follows?  How about with teachers, ministers, new friends, other Mother's on the school yard? 

Have you ever felt the pressure of raising 'other people's children"?  Of being looked at funny for calling 'his' kids your own or on the flip side not calling them yours.  Being told that "you should feel like they are your own children" or that you shouldn't.  That "you knew what you were getting yourself into.  That you are trying to STEAL HER CHILDREN! 

Have you ever wondered what the hell you were thinking?  How did you ever get yourself into this?  And more important how do you get yourself out without losing him? 

This site is a place to vent and realize that although at times it may feel like it...YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
